Are you planning your stay with us and still have questions? Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about booking, rooms, cuisine, wellness, and more. If you cannot find what you are looking for or have further questions, we will be happy to assist you personally.
General information
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is possible from 3:00 p.m.
On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate your room by 10:30 a.m.
What are the reception hours?
The reception desk is staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Outside these hours, a service telephone is available at the reception desk—just give us a quick call and someone will be there for you right away. In addition, thanks to the restaurant (closed on Wednesdays), there is always someone available in the building.
Is late arrival possible?
Yes, of course. If you arrive late, you will receive an access code for the sliding door at the hotel entrance. Your room cards will be prepared for you and will be ready and waiting. Please let us know if you will be arriving later than expected so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
Is there parking available at the hotel?
Yes, parking spaces are available directly in front of the hotel.
We also have rented parking spaces on the opposite side of the river, only about a half-minute walk away. There is also a loading zone directly opposite the hotel entrance for check-in.
Are there charging stations for electric cars?
Yes, an electric charging station is available – use subject to availability.
Is there an elevator in the building?
Yes, our hotel has an elevator that provides convenient access to all floors.
Is there a way to store skis or bicycles safely?
Yes, a ski storage room is available.
Following renovations in spring 2026, a lockable bicycle garage will also be provided.
How far is it to the nearest mountain railway?
The Ahorn cable car is located directly behind the hotel – just a 30-second walk away.
The Penken cable car in the town center is about a 2-minute walk away.
How far is it to the Ahorn cable car and the town center?
The Ahorn cable car is located directly behind the hotel.
The town center is a 1–2 minute walk away.
What is the best way to get there by public transport?
Take the Zillertalbahn railway to Mayrhofen station, then take a taxi directly to the hotel.
Rooms & facilities
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
Yes, breakfast is always included in the room price – for an enjoyable start to the day.
Is half board included in the price?
Our prices are standard rates for bed and breakfast (B&B).
Half board can be added for an extra charge of €22 per person/day.
Please note: Our restaurant is closed on Wednesdays, so no extra charge is made on this day.
Are there rooms with balconies or mountain views?
Yes, most rooms have a balcony with views of various mountain panoramas.
The exact location can be found in the room descriptions—if you have any questions, we will be happy to provide you with individual information.
Are there accessible or wheelchair-accessible rooms?
Unfortunately, not entirely – although some of the rooms are accessible by elevator, they are not equipped with handicapped-accessible bathrooms.
Can children stay in their parents' room?
Yes, pull-out couches or cots are available depending on the room – subject to availability and at an additional cost. We will be happy to help you personally to plan your perfect vacation with us.
Is there a discount for children?
Yes, children receive the following discounts when staying in their parents' room:
3–6 years: 50%
7–9 years: 35%
10–14 years: 30%
14 years and older: full price
Is there a minibar or refrigerator in the room?
Not as standard. A mobile refrigerator can be provided on request, subject to availability.
Is there a safe in the room?
Yes, all rooms are equipped with a safe.
Do the rooms have Wi-Fi? Is it free?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.
Is there hypoallergenic bedding or special rooms for people with allergies?
Unfortunately not at the moment.
How often are the rooms cleaned?
Cleaning is currently carried out daily. Subject to change without notice.
Is smoking permitted in the room?
No, all rooms at Hotel Andrea are non-smoking rooms.
Is there air conditioning or heating in the room?
There is no air conditioning. Heating is available.
Wellness
What facilities are available in the wellness area?
Our wellness area offers a Finnish sauna, a steam sauna, and a turbo solarium—perfect for unwinding after an active day.
Is use of the wellness area included in the room price?
Yes, use of the wellness area is included in the room price.
In summer, the wellness area is open as needed.
When is the wellness area open?
The area is usually open from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In case of bad weather or upon request, it may also open earlier.
Do I need to reserve the sauna or steam bath in advance?
No, reservations are not necessary. You can use the area flexibly.
Are towels, bathrobes, or slippers provided on site?
Yes, sauna towels are available in the wellness area.
We are happy to provide bathrobes and slippers.
Are children allowed to use the wellness area?
Yes, children are allowed to use the wellness area.
Is there a relaxation room where I can unwind?
Comfortable loungers are available for relaxing in the sauna area.
Can I use the wellness area on the day of departure?
Yes, subject to availability and prior arrangement, use on the day of departure is possible.
Are massages or wellness treatments offered?
Upon request, we are happy to arrange for an external massage therapist — please just let us know.
Is the wellness area also open in summer?
Yes, our wellness area is open in summer as needed.
About the booking
How can I book a room?
You can conveniently book online, by phone, or by email.
What are the advantages of booking directly?
When booking directly via our website, by email, or by phone, you benefit from:

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash, bank transfers, and credit cards (except American Express).
Do I have to make a down payment?
Yes, to secure your booking, we require a deposit of 20% of the total price.
What are the cancellation terms?
Up to 3 months before arrival: free of charge
– 3 months to 1 month before arrival: 40% cancellation fee
– 1 month to 1 week before arrival: 70% cancellation fee
– In the last week: 90% cancellation fee
How do I receive my booking confirmation?
You will receive your confirmation by email. In exceptional cases, it may also be sent by post.
Can I change my booking afterwards?
Changes are possible subject to availability and individual agreement.
Are there any special offers or packages?
You can find all current packages and offers on our website.
Can I redeem a gift card?
Yes, vouchers can be redeemed when booking.
Is booking through the website cheaper than through other platforms?
Yes, when you book directly, you benefit from the lowest price and other advantages.
Can I book additional services such as half board or wellness at the same time?
Yes, additional services can be selected directly when booking online.
Please note: Half board can be booked for stays of 4 nights or more.

We kindly ask for your understanding that we do not allow dogs at Hotel Andrea.
Cuisine
At what times are breakfast and dinner served?
– Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
– Dinner (half board): 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
What is offered at the breakfast buffet?
Look forward to a rich breakfast buffet with various types of bread, spreads, sausage and cheese specialties, cereals, honey, scrambled eggs, grilled vegetables, and a variety of hot dishes such as Leberkäse or sausages. There is also a selection of juices, coffee, and tea.
Special highlight on Sundays: sparkling wine and smoked salmon.
Is there an à la carte restaurant?
Yes, our Mt. Everest restaurant offers a diverse à la carte selection. Due to high demand, reservations are recommended.
Can I use the à la carte restaurant if I have only booked breakfast?
Yes, of course—our restaurant is also open to guests without half board.
Is dinner served as a set menu or buffet?
As part of the half-board package, we serve a multi-course menu with a choice of dishes.
Can external guests eat in the restaurant?
Yes, our restaurant is open to both half-board guests and à la carte guests — external visitors are also welcome.
Can food allergies or intolerances be taken into account?
Yes, please inform us in advance of any special requirements. A small surcharge may apply for complex special requests.
Is there a hotel bar?
Yes, our small bar in the restaurant area offers seating for around 10 people — ideal for an aperitif or a cozy end to the evening.
